We are pleased to say that we have now vaccinated 92% of patients who are 80 years of age or over. This includes housebound patients and those in care homes.
If you are 80 and over or have a family member who is registered with the practice and is over 80 years of age and has not yet heard from the practice, please let us know.
As you will be aware, the initial clinics were held at the Devereux Centre which is the practice Primary Care Network (PCN) hub. Those patients that had their first clinic at the Devereux Centre will also have their second vaccination at the Devereux Centre.
At the moment, the vaccine is being delivered to the Primary Care Network and not directly to the practices of that Network. The deliveries are relatively small however all practices have the infrastructure in place to roll out clinics as soon as the deliveries allow us to do so. Staunton and Corse Surgery’s intention is to hold clinics on a Wednesday afternoon/evening, vaccine permitting.
Patients are being invited to attend to receive a Covid vaccination as per Government priority groups. The surgery will ring you to invite you in. Please do not telephone to enquire when you will receive your vaccine. Please let us know if you have any questions.
A huge “Thank You”
We thank all our patients for their co-operation and understanding at this time. We have had a fantastic response from patients and ex members of staff who have kindly volunteered their time in assisting us with the vaccination clinics. The level of support has been greatly appreciated.
